change occurs in relationship

Depth-oriented integrative therapy and psychedelic integration to meet you where you are

Attachment wounds . unsatisfying relational dynamics . anxiety and depression . dysfunctional patterns . loss and grief . disconnection from self and meaning . blocks in self-actualistion . challenging psychedelic experiences . existential crises

are not errors to be fixed.

They are calls for a deeper listening.

Healing comes not from trying to fix the problem, but from coming into an embodied relationship with all that is.

Using a psychodynamic, Jungian, and somatic lens, I provide the experiential, relational space needed to weave fragmented states and insights into a coherent, lived experience, where change is not a strained goal to be achieved, but a natural development.

You do not have to walk this path alone.

Therapy is a space where you can freely express and explore yourself while being held in a supportive and attuned presence. Together we will open up and move through the feelings, sensations, and beliefs that underlie your struggles, allowing something new to emerge.

It is important to find a therapist you resonate with. On this website, you can learn more about who I am as a person and a therapist, and about how I work. Feel free to get in touch if you would like to work together.

My Approach

To heal means to 'make whole',
and when we feel whole we are in touch with the whole world.

~ Michael Meade
Therapy for attachment trauma, relationship issues, existential crisis, depression, challenging psychedelic experience integration, self-actualisation

Disconnection from self, others, and life itself manifests in a myriad painful ways:

A sense of emptiness and stuckness. A perpetual underlying fear. Criticism and shame, looming over the shoulder. Feeling fragmented and conflicted. Strained relationship with sources of pleasure. Unsatisfying or hurtful relationships. Deep longings for love, seenness, expansion, coherence, and meaning that feel more like burdens. A sense of an overwhelming disparateness of the world.

These symptoms are not errors. They are calling for your attention. Calling you home.

When we truly pay attention, things start to shift. Together, we will listen deeply to what is true for you. We will follow the thread of your symptoms and difficulties back to their origins – the existential sense — and further to what they lead towards. Because the question is not only 'why?', but 'what for?'. The future, as much as the present and the past. Soul-making, rather than wound-treatment.

The therapeutic container is what allows us to safely go deep into the muck and the light within. To explore, illuminate, and let things shift and transform. It is where I hold you and the process with deep attunement, fierce compassion, honesty, and humour.

While rooted in relational psychodynamics, the attachment-based approach, and depth psychological perspectives, I draw from different modalities to meet your needs at a particular point in time. We will focus on exploring and shifting the patterns and perceptions through:

  • exploring past experiences, particularly early attachments and significant events

  • staying with the arising bodily sensations, mental imagery, metaphors, and dreams

  • using reparative techniques, such as Somatic Experiencing, image rescripting, IFS, nervous system regulation, and compassion

  • bringing awareness to how we relate to each other and how this may represent relational patterns in your life.

  • using the therapeutic space as an opportunity to test new ways of relating and expressing yourself

Psychedelic Integration Therapy

Psychedelic experiences confront us with our perception of and relationship with existence – life, love, death, and beyond. Although they open the door to the transpersonal, we each get a unique view, based on our early attachments, ancestral history, culture, and something ineffable. Psychedelics unearth trauma, reuniting the split-off parts of a traumatic experience – sensation, affect, image, and meaning, which may leave us feeling shattered and profoundly vulnerable. Although frequently labelled as 'bad trips', these challenging psychedelic experiences can be an important step towards healing if well-held. Psychedelics also bring out our light: vitality, body intelligence, connectedness, power, and love, which can be equally difficult to integrate.

In therapy, these experiences can receive the relational space they need to be processed, leading to felt and tangible changes in how you feel, relate, create, and live. To understand psychedelics, we need to speak their language – the language of the soul, body, myth, and poetry. I apply depth psychological, Jungian, and mythopoetic lenses to integrate psychedelic experiences. This means working with your personal experience of the archetypal and how it can be expanded to include the vital energies it needs. I employ embodied active imagination to process the sometimes fragmented memory of the psychedelic experience and allow the images and sensations from the journey to work on you on a somatic, emotional, and symbolic level.

*I do not offer psychedelic-assisted therapy or medicine ceremonies in any shape or form.
